Individual Psychological Analysis, Psychotherapy and Coaching

"It is not the experiences that dictate our actions, but the conclusions we draw from these experiences."
- Alfred Adler
Welcome
I am delighted to welcome you to my homepage!
The reason why you might consider psychotherapy is as individual and diverse as people. Every now and then life presents us one or the other challenge. Often there are other circumstances that add to this and you end up feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.
As if you were standing in a dead-end street in front of a wall.
In our fast moving, material society everybody must function. For many, it is a matter of time before they reach a limit and can no longer hold through.
In such situations, it is absolutely appropriate to seek help.
Psychotherapy and coaching are ways to change one's perspective for the long term and to explore new ways to face life's challenges in a well-armed and balanced way. In the end, it is all about being able to enjoy life again.
I will be very happy to help you with this.
When psychotherapy helps

The reasons for using psychotherapy are as individual as people themselves.
In Austria, psychotherapy has been regulated by the Psychotherapy Act since 1991 and has the status of an independent healing method. It is a scientifically based approach to alleviate and treat mental, psychosocial (interpersonal or social) and psychosomatic (emotionally conditioned physical) suffering and illness.
Psychotherapy supports and accompanies people in challenging life situations and crises, contributes to personal development and helps to uncover and correct unwanted or unfavourable behaviour and thought patterns. The goal is always to increase the quality and joy of life.
Psychotherapy can be helpful at any age.
Unlike physical problems, psychological problems cannot be measured precisely. Therefore it can be difficult to know when it is appropriate to seek help. In my experience, a good starting point is to weigh up the extent to which everyday life and quality of life might already be limited.
With the decision to use psychotherapy, you take responsibility for your holistic health. The main prerequisite for starting psychotherapy is your explicit wish and willingness to work on your feelings and actions.

Individual psychology
Alfred Adler
Individual Psychology, founded in 1911 by the Viennese physician Alfred Adler, is a traditional, highly recognised and widespread school of depth psychology.
It was given the name "individual psychology" because it sees the human being as a whole and as an indivisible individual. It pays particular attention to the position of the individual in his or her social environment and the way in which he or she forms relationships. The starting point are unconscious processes which influence all conscious actions and experiences.
In my view, in individual psychological psychotherapy, you go on a joint journey into your subconscious with the therapist, so to speak, in order to better understand your feelings and motives.
Adler saw a certain sense and purpose behind a person's actions, experiences and symptoms as the driving force. If you uncover the drive and its unconscious purpose, its effect is taken away. Psychotherapy according to Adler thus goes far beyond the treatment of symptoms.
Every person has an individual way of perceiving the world, which is shaped by his experiences and conclusions. In early childhood, a person forms convictions and opinions about himself, his fellow human beings and the world. These determine his goals and behaviour in later life.
Many people find themselves in a dynamic tension between perceived shortcomings and feelings of inferiority that can cause them suffering, and the desire to overcome them.
As an individual psychological analyst, I ask my patients to sit or lie down. In this way, in a relaxed and concentrated atmosphere, I help you to better understand yourself, your feelings, actions and experiences, the patterns of your relationships or the symptoms you suffer from.
I will help you to recognize which unconscious factors are working on you. On this basis we will then try out new and better ways. As a result, we will change your lifestyle and quality of life positively in the long run.

* This is the final phase of psychotherapeutic training. One has already acquired all the prerequisites and works independently with patients, under regular supervision. This discussion of the work with an experienced therapist - under absolute discretion - has great advantages and ensures quality.
Initial Interview
Since the interaction between patient and therapist is a decisive factor for the course and success of the therapy, it is important that we get to know each other and that we both can start working together with a good feeling. We will clarify your needs and goals, discuss the organisational aspects and all your questions.
The Therapy
Depth psychological therapy can take many different forms and is based on your individual needs and wishes.
We usually hold one or two sessions a week. They last 50 or 100 minutes.
If desired, there is also the possibility of an analysis in a lying position.
Cancellation regulation
If you should not be able to keep an agreed appointment, please let me know at least 48 hours before the appointment.
Hours that are cancelled at shorter notice will unfortunately be charged.
Obligation of confidentiality
Psychotherapists practicing in Austria are obliged to maintain absolute secrecy in accordance with §15 of the Psychotherapy Act. This applies to all third parties, including the patient's spouse and relatives, as well as public servants and state authorities.
In supervision, the supervisors are also subject to this obligation of secrecy.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to charge the health insurance company.
On request, social tariffs (with proof of income) are possible.
